Email Marketing

In today's email centric world, email marketing is an easy way to reach your customers. It's also one of the most cost effective ways of marketing your business. Forget the days of spam. Sending your customers relevant information and current promotions for your business will help you stay connected and stay current.

Here are some key points for effective email promotions:

  1. Choose a good promotion: Most businesses have several areas of service. We don't recommend discounting everything (ever). Choose a service area - like a cleaning company may discount their dryer vent cleaning service in October to get homeowners ready for the winter.
  2. Get a professional designer - It's always clear who had a professionally designed promotion and who did it themselves and if have a budget for this, spend $100 and get a simple coupon blank designed for your business.
  3. Keep it simple – don’t attach lots of strings to your promotions. Consider this advertisement, for example: “20% all beer and wine every 1st and 3rd Thursday.” Wouldn't you be disappointed if you came in on the 2nd Thursday and didn't get the discount. A much better option would be a 20% off discount every Thursday, when the store stays open later!
Your promotion should have an expiration date: we love the ones that are active by month, for example "30% off all manicures in September".
  4. State a clear action. Give a number to call to make an appointment for a service or clearly state what the customer must do to redeem a coupon for products. For example: "Enter the keyword “SampleSale” at the checkout to receive 10% off your first purchase". Simple and easy.
